In order to use this data effectively, understanding it is key. To help, we've compiled some basic information on the data that Webcast Metrics provides below.
Sessions Started (SS)
SS is the number of stream requests that were listened to for at least 1-minute. This is the total amount of time that the stream was played.
Active Sessions (AS)
AS is the number of sessions that were active for at least 1-minute. The total number of active sessions represents the number of people who listened to the audio at a given time.
Total Listening Hours (TLH)
TLH is the total number of hours that a station played for at least 1-minute.
Average Active Sessions (AAS)
AAS is the total listening hours (TLH) divided by the number of hours.
Average Quarter Hour (AQH)
AQH is the average number of listeners who streamed a particular station for at least 5-minutes during a 15-minute period.
Average Time Spent Listening (ATSL)
ATSL is the average number of hours that each session was streamed.
CUME
Cume is the number of unique listeners who streamed a particular audio feed for at least 5-minutes during a 15-minute period. A unique listener is an individual person who listened to the stream. This is usually tracked and calculated through their IP address.
