International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrates women’s achievements, raising awareness about discrimination, and driving gender parity. Each year IWD gives us an opportunity to raise funds for female-focused charities and raise awareness to the inequality that women face globally. This year the IWD campaign is to collectively #EmbraceEquity, unifying action to help forge an inclusive world. The 2023 #EmbraceEquity theme aimed to get the world talking about why equal opportunities aren't enough.
Triton Digital is supporting this cause by encouraging employees to post their “EmbraceEquity” photo or a photo of a woman in their life that inspires and encourages them. Triton pledged to donate $50 per employee’s internal post to two IWD-backed charities: World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) AND Catalyst. Both of these organizations are global in scale and support women’s causes.
We are proud of all the support and fundraising efforts our employees around the world put towards such a great cause. Even more powerful was what our employees personally shared about each photo. Not only did they post a picture of themselves supporting IWD, but they also shared pictures of the wonderful women that have made an impact in their lives and who continue to inspire and influence them daily. Stories of mothers, daughters, friends, spouses, and so many more filled our internal chats throughout the week. These posts highlighted women who have overcome hardship and obstacles, who have encouraged and inspired those around them, and who have against all odds achieved amazing accomplishments. It is truly heartwarming to see the immense support that our employees shared during this year’s campaign and we are committed to continuously raising awareness for all upcoming IWD campaigns.
This week-long campaign raised awareness within our organization and we are proud to say that our campaign raised $4,400! We are incredibly grateful to our employees who shared their #EmbraceEquity photos and stories about the women that inspire them and we cannot wait to see what we can achieve next year
