The New Streaming Music Rates; Everything You Need to Know. A Q&A with David Oxenford.

On Wednesday December 16, 2015 the Copyright Royalty Board released its Webcaster IV ruling, outlining the royalty rates webcasters will have to pay SoundExchange for music played over the web or on a mobile device during the period from 2016-2020.

Triton Digital’s President of Market Development, John Rosso, hosted a Q&A with David Oxenford, ESQ, partner at Wilkinson Barker Knauer LLP and leading expert in all areas of broadcast law, to discuss the details of the ruling, who is effected, why it’s important, and the impact it will have on the digital audio industry moving forward. Below is the full recording of their discussion.

If you currently have a digital audio strategy, or plan to build one in 2016, this is a discussion you won’t want to miss!
